I’m Mimi and welcome to FeedMi! I am based in Austin, TX where by day I am an Epidemiologist but by night I am either cooking up a storm or stuffing my face at a restaurant. Sharing my love for food is my creative outlet!
Like a stereotypical millennial, I have always taken photos of my food. I never really did anything with them until one day someone asked me, “what do you do with all those photos”? That triggered me to start sharing them on social media in hopes that someone besides myself would find some value in them too. It quickly evolved to being more than just sharing photos.
As a young adult and Vietnamese-American, it became a way for me to document recipes I’ve learned from my parents, other cooks, and myself through trial and error. I still have so much to learn in the kitchen but hope that by me sharing my experiences, others will find cooking more approachable. You do not need to be a master chef to create something delicious at home!
In my free time I love to travel and try new things. I love playing tourist in my own city, trying new restaurants, or visiting old favorites. I also love a change of scenery, exploring new destinations, and learning about different cultures. I always say I’ll try anything twice! Of course I photograph every step (and bite) of the way. I’m just a girl trying to decide what to eat so thank you for joining my adventures and being here!
