How to Make a Golden Milk Latte
My love for Golden Milk Lattes
A Golden Milk Latte is a super comforting drink. It features turmeric which gives it that beautiful signature golden color. Not only is it an anti-inflammatory but it is also full of spices that warms and soothes your stomach. Buying this from a coffee shop can be pretty pricey but luckily it’s super easy to make at home!

My parents have been drinking turmeric straight up with water for years. They swear by it and say it has helped them manage diabetes and high cholesterol. I begin incorporating this into my diet regularly when I was having gallbladder issues.
The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric really helped soothe my stomach when it felt constantly bloated. Many people have also praised turmeric for its powerful health benefits. Click here to read more information from WebMD!

Alone, turmeric has a strong taste and I definitely cannot drink it the way my parents do. In recent years turmeric has become quite popular. It is the star ingredient in the Golden Milk Lattes, which is a much tastier way to consume turmeric! The milk mellows it out but the spices make it so warm and comforting. If you are a fan of pumpkin spice lattes or spiced drinks in general, you will love this!

A Golden Milk Latte is not only a tasty drink but each ingredient has a purpose. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory. Black pepper and coconut oil helps the body absorb the turmeric. Ginger aids in digestion and soothes the stomach.
Lastly, cinnamon and honey are full of antioxidants. Regardless of the health benefits, Golden Milk Lattes are just plain delicious! Plus this recipe only takes 5 minutes to make and it is so much cheaper than going out for one!

If I don’t drink this all in one setting can I refrigerate it and then do I need to reheat it or can it be served cold?
It’s great hot or cold but find that hot is more soothing for the stomach! Just make sure to give it little mix before drinking. I also have a recipe for a batch of “Golden Milk Paste” that you can keep in your fridge and just scoop it into some milk instead of making a fresh single serving every time.
A thought on this, do you think this recipe could be turned into a smoothie? :). I don’t mind milk (of any type) in smoothies, or even in some coffees (latte, cortaditos) but I despise it straight up LOL (I know, I know, weird)
